Apparently Metallica believes that the future of music lies in releasing albums through "Guitar Hero" and similar styled video games. That's just great fellas. It's definitely more important to appeal to the army of PlayStation 3 rapscallions who would rather acquire their music collection via television speakers than to those loyal fans who may not have contributed to Lars Ulrich's new, diamond-bedazzled elephant by purchasing "St. Anger" but for some reason didn't mind that aural catastrophe sullying their undeserving stereos and downloaded it anyway. I'm well aware that there are plenty of bands that I love and respect on the Guitar Hero soundtracks (Dead Kennedys and The Ramones immediately come mind) but to turn this into "an expected way to release an album?" Count me out. I don't need to play a video game as an excuse to listen to music, thank you very much. Luckily Metallica doesn't warrant being listened to in any format.
Speaking of shitty metal, stay tuned for our Sleepies vs. Haunted Castle episode which will be up soon.
